I am adding ROE to my 1 1/2 lb. batch of soap as a preservative. Can someone recommend approximately how much to add?

For CP?

I don't think you need a preservative for bar soap, as far as I know the soaponification process will negate the need for one. I'm not even sure that ROE will survive the heat/lye.

I'm sure if HP or liquid soap methods might need ROE but one of the more science members might know for sure

Roe is an antidoxidant not a preservative. Go the the suppliers site and it will tell you the percentage for your ROE. They do vary. Roe is soap is used to try to stop DOS but I never found it helped. I do use it when I open a new tote of oil to help slow oxidation in turn extending the shelf life of my oil.
