Michael, I can't work soapcalc out either, so I don't use it. I have Woodi's Soapmaker program (www.soapmaker.ca) and find it much easier. It has a graph to show you the expected properties of your soap, as well as being a database for all your recipes, stock, etc. You can download a 1-month trial, but I went back & bought the full program about 3 days after downloading the trial.
I like both soap calc and the soapmaker program. Couldn't do without either one. I love being able to store my recipes and add specific SAP values for my oils etc if the vendor supplied them. It's a great tool. I like soap calc for the many additional soap properties that it provides for you. (Not included in the soapmaker program.)
