Key words that will help you find topics on rebatching are "rebatch" and "confetti"
Here are three different rebatching techiques:

Oven rebatching (simplest, does not require any additional ingredients)
https://www.soapmakingforum.com/threads/oven-rebatch-cp.77457/
Confetti soap (example thread - this is used for soap that is already hard, which is shredded and mixed into a new batch of soap - the shreds are visible in the new soap)
https://www.soapmakingforum.com/threads/confetti-soap-ideas.79991/Ciaglia method (hard soap is shredded and the shreds are melted in the oils of the new batch - the soap is textured, but the finish is finer than confetti soap)

Yes it's CP soap but how much water do I have to add in this case as we are talking about 40kg block of soap (shraded already)

You won't find a specific amount of water to add for rebatching. It depends on your particular soap. If your soap is very fresh and has a high water content, you might not need any extra water. If it is older and quite dry, you might need a fair bit.

Why do you want to rebatch this much soap? I would make the soap as I wanted it in the first place. Rebatching is a lot of work for not a lot of benefit.

40kg block of soap (shraded already)
Okay. by "shraded" I think you mean "shreded", yes?

According to this thread,
https://www.soapmakingforum.com/threads/quantity-of-water-per-kg-of-lye.88914/...you guessed at the amount of water needed for the CP soap you made. Correct?

If you ended up with a 40kg block of soap, then
40kg divided by a factor of 1.37 = 29.2kg FAs (Fatty Acids) aka oils, fats, butters (approximately) in your recipe.

Advice: Use SoapCalc to determine the correct amount of water and lye needed for the FAs you used. Once that is determined, the difference between the water needed and the water you actually used needs to be added to the shreds if you didn't use enough water.

If you used too much water, then no additional water is needed for the rebatch.

I am not familiar with the type of equipment you have to re-process your soap but I recommend trying a small, 500g batch first before rebatching the whole 40kg of shreds.

This is fascinating! Please keep us informed of your results.

HAPPY SOAPING! :computerbath:
