How big a deal is overheating, really?

Made this GM soap last night. Cut it this am to find it oily and with non-zappy pockets. Is there any reason it wouldn't be safe to use since it's not zappy?

It looks like the soap might have overheated some, but that's only an esthetic issue. I'd use it, no problem.

I've got a couple bars with "alien teeth" that I've kept and used. Worked fine. I'd never give it to somebody else, looking the way they do, but didn't hurt me or anything. I only get it with one particular FO (which of course is one of my favs) because it's such PITA to work with.
