As a new soaper I wasn't sure about hot process. It sounded terrifying. Also I'm not sure about the "rustic" look. But I gave it a whirl and and I'm in love! I made A batch with a Lush-type fragrance from Nurture for my son and one with fir-needle oil and charcoal for my husband. I used the recipes Katie Carson has on her Royalty soaps website which I've had really good luck with (thanks, Katie). Also, as my supreme goal is to make the most beautiful soap cupcakes in the universe, I have to say its going better. Especially since I got a better piping tip. I'm going to try adding 1% beeswax to my next batch to prevent ash. I'm attaching pics and if anyone has any hints as to how I can further improve I'd really appreciate it!
