I went to the coolest Asian farmers market and found some cool things to experiment with.

Honey powder was one. The ingredients are pure honey and maltodextrin.

I wanted to make a HIWTK soap tonight and was wondering if you guys thought there would be any ill effects.

This is the stuff:

It works great.... keep an eye out in case it gets too warm while gelling. I have in the past had brown spots in my soap from it, but it was because I mistakenly added the powder to the oils.. now I mix it in my water before adding lye and it's never a problem.

I like it but there are no stores here that have it. I would always dissolve it in a little warm water and then add it to the pot with no problems at all.

I added 2 oz ppo. at thin trace so the honey speckled my soap. So far it's really awesome.
