Honey in lip balms

I've seen that honey can separate when added to lip balm ( water / oil ) and somewhere i saw powdered honey. Do you think this would work ? or is it, scratchy? or does it sort of melt in with the oils / butters ?

I'm interested in this too as I just purchased 8oz of powdered honey. Hopefully a seasoned pro will chime in.

It's not oil soluble, so I think it would get gritty.

why not use real honey and add some e-wax? the honey should emulsified just alright.

I've heard and read that honey will seep out. I've not tried it myself because of that possibility.

As Seven said, honey is fine in lip balms if you add an emulsifier. I have a honey balm made 6 months ago still going strong.... Good luck
