Greetings! I'm 37 years old and for years have strived to pull off the ultimate feat: turning fat into soap without any strong hydroxides. I was inspired by a childhood book, Cup and Saucer Chemistry. After all these years, last fall I made the most convincing batch of sodium carbonate soap to date.

Please note that I have never made hydroxide soap outside of one lab in high school. But I'm interested in learning that art as well.
