Hi, I'm Marijane from Michigan. I've been making goat milk soaps for the past year, lurking here the whole way. Not that I have it all figured out (milk soaps being tricky as they are), but maybe I can help someone, as I've been helped by just observing here.

Help with seperation

I am hoping someone can help with troubleshooting. My sheep milk soap has been temperamental since changing types of lye. It is either setting really quickly as I am pouring it into molds, or once I have poured it the soap in my large mold separates 10 - 20 minutes later even though the rest of the small molds are fine. Is it a temperature problem.....my milk has been in the freezer since Dec could it be too old? The first few batches that I made have been lovely soap and very popular among friends, it is also good to have a use for excess milk.
