I made a small batch of soap using Herbalicious fo, from Nurture Soap. The website says it has a deep purple discoloration, but eventually fades. I wanted to see for myself, so here's my experiment. I kept the base uncolored, with a small amount of purple batter and black batter swirled with a hanger tool in the middle. My recipe is 40% lard, so stays pretty light colored naturally.

I forgot to get a picture when I poured, but batter was white at that time. I CPOP'ed, and unmolded after 10 hrs. I forgot to get a picture before I cut it, of course. I got too excited to open it up. 😁

Here it is immediately after cutting, a brown rind and normal colored interior. I'll post pictures as it changes!

Please excuse the horrible lighting, it is night and I don't have a good light setup for inside photos yet.

Here's another photo in different lighting. The outside resembles a smoked cheese!

That looks really neat, can't wait to see the discoloration as it progresses.
Your swirls are nice too, I like how whispy they are
