Help with palm recipe

I use palm oil for as one of my recipes however the color was not really encourage or may be I didn't estimated it so well. Please can someone help me post soap recipe using palm oil as one and also the quantity to be use in each of the recipes

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

Do you know how to use a lye calculator? If not, you need to go learn that first, because we can give you percentages to enter into the calculator, but since we do not know the size of your mold, we can't give you an exact recipe. Also, you need to run every recipe, no matter where you find it, through a lye calculator for yourself for your own safety.

A good starter recipe is this:

Palm/tallow/lard 65%
Olive Oil 15%
Coconut Oil 15%
Castor Oil 5%

Superfat 5%

What do you not like about the colour?
Did you use red palm oil?

If so, try to find white (bleached) palm oil. That should give you a whiter soap.

I agree with Powderpink- try to find the refined palm oil if you used the virgin variety. I won't touch red palm oil with a 6 ft pole if I could help it.
