Hello everyone! I am new to soapmaking, have only made 2 different hot process soaps so far. My family and I are on a journey to start living healthier and trying to eliminate as many toxins from our lives as we can, especially chemicals we put in our bodies and on our skin. I figure now is the perfect time to start making my own soap, shampoo and lotions so I know exactly what is going into them. I am hoping to meet some great people and learn lots of tips and tricks with making my own soap!

Welcome! Many of us make soap for the same reasons, and also because of skin sensitivities, etc. I truly love making my own soaps, lotions, syndet shampoo bars, and solid conditioner bars. Besides not having to buy them from the store, they also make great gifts for others.

Anyway, enjoy the journey, and don’t forget to post some pics and stories along the way.
