Hello to all from a total newbie!

Hello everyone!

I found this site during an internet search for soap making.

I'm in the research stage now, so much info out there it gets a bit overwhelming.
I think I'll start with CP first once I find a simple recipe/small batch, and go from there. I'm trying to make a list of what I'll need to start.
Although I'm interested in this for future business, I'm starting out just to enjoy it and have fun.

I'm from MO, living in FL right now, hoping to move to TN soon. Love those Smoky Mountains!
Then I can get goats again (I used to have Nubians) and use fresh goat's milk in some of my recipes!

I'm so excited and can't wait to get started, I'm trying to learn all I can first. I'm sure there is much trial and error involved.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all and learning from you!

Whatever recipe you try, make sure you run it through a soap calculator.

Thanks for the advice...I would have "assumed" the recipe would be ok just as it was. Perhaps it will save me some heartache as I go!

You're welcome.
Anytime I get a new recipe, I always, always run it through a soap calculator. Typos do happen.
