Hi all,

I'm Pyropyro from the Philippines.

I'm currently planning on entering the soap business here in my country.

I hope that I could recipes from you especially the use of recycled materials (probably used cooking oils or discarded soap) for soap making.

I wish to make a environmentally friendly soap.

Of course, business tips would always be welcome :)

Pyropyro, if you are new enough not to have developed your own recipes, then you need to wait before attempting to sell. Do research by reading books and reputable websites such as Kathy Miller's site. Then use a good lye calculator such as SoapCalc for each recipe, no matter where the recipe comes from. Experiment with recipes for at least a year before trying to sell. Most people will not share a recipe that has taken them years to develop. If you wish to use recylced animal fats, here is a link on cleaning bacon grease.
