Hi everyone!
I've been making cold process soap for the last year and am now hopelessly addicted. I was happy to find this "support group" since I don't know anyone else locally who makes soap, and I'm starting to think that there's a limit to how much my family is willing to listen to me talk about soap (who knew?). I'm also excited to have found a group of people who have more of an understanding of how soap is made than "You mean like in Fight Club?" (the typical reaction I get when people find out that I make soap).
I've always loved handmade soaps, and was intrigued by the idea of making it myself. I liked the idea of being able to control the ingredients, and the scientific and creative aspects of soapmaking were also appealing to me. My husband and I are hobbyist beekeepers, so I figured when I started that I could use our own honey and beeswax in my soap as well.
I'm looking forward to talking to and learning from everyone on this forum!
