Hi all, I'm brand new too CP soapmaking and have lots to learn. I've already read some past posts and you all seem really nice. I look forward to getting to know you all.

I've made just two so far. The first one I tried was a milk soap that ended up with a gelatinous mass in the middle. I cut it up and set it aside to be rebatched later.
The second is a castile recipe. After a couple of days in the mold it's kind of mottled looking. I'm not sure about it, so I posted the recipe and pics in the CP soap forum. Feel free to take a look.

Angelmae, you are from way up there! I'm originally from Portland. I went to UMO and I thought that was way up there!

I sometimes feel more like I'm from Canada than Maine, lol.

We often joke about "the two Maines". One between the County and Bangor, the rest south of Bangor.

Others joke that Portland isn't really Maine, it's a suburb of Boston
