I can't help with your request for soap making classes as I live in Mississippi...but there is a ton of information on this forum!

Check for soaping videos by Soap Queen on the internet. These are produced by Anne Marie at Brambleberry, a comprehensive soaping supplier. I think they are accessible on youtube. There are some soaping videos and tutorials that are not so good on the internet. For example, Nancy Today, offers good entertainment value but I'd not adopt her methods.
