Hi from Australia. i watched a lot of YouTube and read a lot when I first started. My first soaps were pretty ordinary. I love my soap now. I think before you start formulating a recipe it helps to know what you want from your soap. For me it was conditioning, so I keep that number high and cleansing low. I’d be happy to share a recipe with you but I think it‘s best to get on a calculator and plug in the oils and butters you have and learn what each brings to the soap. When you find one you want to try you can always post it on here and get opinions.

Take some time to browse the Beginners Forum. You will find a lot of Tried & True Recipes there. I like David Fisher's "The Spruce" for a good variety to choose from. A lot of us "old timers" learned from that site.
