Hey gang...just feeling I've perhaps gone a tad overboard on my last batch.SoapCalc gave me a hardness value in the low 30's so I added silk and sugar( 1T ) and 1t of salt ppo. I also did my usual of adding SL to the cooled lye water. It's cool in the house so I'm trying to ignore the soap in the molds behind the curtain for a few days. What I'm doing new for me is adding the salt. Somewhere I read people stating that the SL and the salt harden the salt at different times through its development...one at unfolding time and the other at the end of the cure(can't recall which was which). Just wondering if this is all a bit of overkill from the mavens out there...
Thanks to all, especially the enablers!

I rarely add either SL or salt to my bars, so I am wondering why you need to use either, much less both. Could you possibly post your recipe (in weights, please)?
