Hello!
I'm wildly new to soapmaking.
I'm a former costume designer for regional theater. The pandemic gave me enough time & space to realize that I was miserable. I've decided that if I'm going to work for peanuts, at the very least I could not be miserable. So I started playing around in my garden, because it made me happy. And now I have it in mind to start a small business selling balms, oils, lotions, soaps and such featuring botanicals and essential oils.
Experiments have begun in earnest in my kitchen. I'm in here for the tips, tricks, guidance & inspiration. And for the community too. Because everyone I know, or have known for the past two decades, is connected to professional theater somehow. And I just don't want to participate anymore. I'm starting over. So I'm new in every sense of the word.
