Hello! I've just started making CP soap again after a 7 or so years break. Back then, I had no issues with anything that I can recall. Since I've started making it again, every single batch I'm making has a thin greasy film on each bar. I've searched the internet and FB soap pages for any information/suggestions, but have had no luck. I've looked at pictures of "sweating", but this is not the same thing. It doesn't seem to affect the properties of the soap (i.e., bubbles, hardness, etc). I've used different molds, liners, recipes, FO's, temperatures - all my recipes are turning out this way. A sample recipe: Olive 50%, Palm 25%, Coconut 20%, Castor 5%, .5 ounce FO, 4 oz distilled water, 1.4 ounces lye. I'm at a loss for figuring out what is going on. All of my oils are new, I've used two different scales (doubt there's any issue with mismeasurement). I have read many threads here about others experiencing this on the sides or top of a bar and reabsortion, however this is over the entire bar and I've had bars curing over a month with nothing reabsorbing. Any help would be very much appreciated.

This could be caused by high humidity. I live in Missouri and we are in a high humidity area in the summer.

Thank you. I was wondering if that could be the culprit. I do soap in the basement and we've had problems with humidity ruining things down there. Our dehumidifier just died unfortunately.
