This just in from our good friends, Jan & Dines Larsen in Australia. Among other news, there was this bit:

We are in fact lucky that the Pandemic in Australia is pretty well under control now with virtually zero cases. Compared with the rest of the World our Government has done a good job so hopefully we will not have a flair up. Total number of deaths is below 1000 and 90 % of these are in Victoria that got caught by a second wave.

Kinda makes one want to move to Australia!
:nodding:

Thankfully we seem to have things under control in Australia at the moment but unfortunately all it takes is one case not being detected in a returned traveller to potentially derail all of our efforts. New Zealand has also managed to keep this pandemic under control with very few cases.

There are definitely advantages to living on an island even one as large as Australia.

Hopefully the vaccines will bring some relief to the rest of the world. We are still a few months away from having vaccines approved here.

Seems thereare still some cases and they caught 2 of the New Variant Coronavirus.
I think if you caught 2 there are way more...
