Hello,

I just had a question regarding packaging of goatmilk soap. I have read somewhere that you shouldn't package goatmilk soap in plastic only something that breathes? If so, what is the reasoning for this? Does it go rancid or moldy? I have looked on this forum and can't seem to find the info, sorry if there is a thread about this already.

Thank you

I don't think is really a concern for goat milk soap specifically, but all soap. Soap needs to breathe. There's nothing wrong with packaging it in plastic, but for long term storage it's not ideal. Many of us who sell shrink wrap our soaps for short term storage.
