Bugger! I thought I might have solved KristaY's problem.

I do your "warm" method Irish lass. Thank you very much for telling us about it. It is excellent for all my recipes.
 
Yikes, IrishLass, never seen anything like that! Have you thought about sending that pic to Essential Depot? That's a lot of soap to have to plane off!
 
This problem has come up many times before, and oddly, there never seems to be much of a common thread as to what causes the problem, although ED's molds seem to give many people trouble. I'm one of those who always CPOPs and has never had blisters. I use silicone molds from Upland, Nurture Soaps, WSP, Ebay, and Aliexpress. I prewarm my mold in the oven at its lowest setting, pour, put it back in the oven and turn it off. It's gentle heat, not cooking. But Krista, if you get blisters when you don't even CPOP, that blows any overheating theory out of the water. I really wish we could get to the bottom of this.
