My gardener's soap has finally cured, and it's still a bit sticky. I used something pretty close to Earlene's recipe. Anyone else experienced this or just an error on my part?

That's great advice, thanks! Advice around here is no outside planting until all the snow is gone from a specific mountain peak in the area. We are still getting some nights below freezing, although we might be turning the corner this very week. Maybe I need to find a spot inside for some starters?

Hi, I just joined and saw your reply. Is the mountain peak Peavine by any chance? I spent 30 years living with said "advice".

I believe it is Mt. Baldy, actually. All the locals swear it is the best way to determine if spring has really arrived and it is safe to plant outside.
