Freaked Me Out!

I made my first "real" HP today and I just about had a heart attack when it separated!!! It came back together and worked out just fine, but I don't remember reading anywhere about the separation. I'm glad I did it and now that I know to expect that I won't have any more panic attacks...

I don't think that's a failure, just a phase of the cooking. I see it once in a while but just keep going and it all comes together.

It happens to me more often in HPing liquid soap. don'tknow why.

Thanks! It really was un-nerving but I've now done 3 batches this way and realized it was just part of the process. BTW - what temps are you using for your HP in the oven? I'm using 200 - is that all right?
