I know I saw this somewhere but I can't seem to find it again after an hour of reading the forum! What are the numbers on plastic that are safe to use for CP molds? I was looking at a Stouffer's Mac N Cheese dish thinking it would be perfect to make two large bars in. It's got a 1 on the bottom. I'd think it is safe since you can put it in a 350° oven, but maybe the chemicals in soap make the difference not the heat?

I believe I've seen posted that 2 and 5 are safe. But I can't say 100% for sure.

Here's the info you're looking for, I screenshot it and carry it with me wherever I go!!

I have been using the same hdpe #2 buckets for over 5 yrs, a few are just now starting to show some bowing from heat. This is from mixing a gallon or more of masterbatch lye at a time. When I am mixing that much lye I do put cold water and some ice in the sink to help a little with the heat.
