Hi! Was wondering if anyone can look over this formula using lauric acid....

31% canola Oil
29 % coconut oil
29 % olive oil
5 % castor
10% Lauric Acid

IMO that's a lot of canola as many believe it to cause DOS.

If you have dry skin, you probably won't want that much coconut oil as it can be drying. Most recommend 20% or lower. Some of my first soaps had 25% and we're slightly drying to me. I can use up to 22% without a problem.

Why add lauric acid?

Right here, silly!
Hi Lauren! I just typed your recipe into SoapCalc, and instead of your oils adding up to 100%, they add up to 104%. Is there a typo somewhere?

Oh that is strange, I must have made a mistake somewhere.
