FO Fixative/anchor

What do people use as a fixative/anchor for FO? I have heard that some people are sensitive to Orris Root and wonder if there is something better.

I've had several people tell me they use clay to anchor the scent. I ordered bentonite and kaolin clay with my last batch of supplies. In addition to anchoring the scent, each type of clay has specific skin benefits as well.
