Hello! We had one brick of honey soap base, and one of goats milk. We mixed them together(about 2:1 honey:goat milk). We added a couple big scoops of Shea butter also. Melted to, added peppermint FO, separated in two bowls, put charcoal in one and left other one as is. We melted in a double boiler. It went pretty good, but it seemed extremely bubbly! We poured in a mold, let sit for a couple hours, then cut. The tops were really bubbly even though we sprayed with alcohol. Now as they dry they have the crystal stuff on the outsides. We broke some leftover cuts in half and it just seemed real aerated in the middle! Wasn’t very solid at all. Is it supposed to be like that or did we do something wrong? Definitely made us say no more melt and pour after this. It might be important to say we melted it in a stainless bowl on a pot with water with stove set at a little under medium heat.

What @earlene said. Your write-up gave me a chuckle because, NO offense, it sounds like you made this soap the way I make cakes...:D

Wow I forgot I made this post! I wouldn’t have started a new one and just added to this one with my questions. I’ll check out that link. And I see now a website from the soap base company and will see what they say.
