I made my very first batch of Goat Milk soap this weekend and I am thrilled that it turned out a light cream color. It was my first time using a colorant and I also added some peppermint EO. I can't wait for the bars to cure so I can use one. They smell like X-mas!

Thanks. I actually put the milk in the freezer and took it out when it was just starting to freeze then kept the container in an ice bath while I added the lye. The ice bath came in handy for bringing the oils to soaping temperature also. So far everything looks ok, thank goodness!

The first batch is always the hardest. I love any soap with goats milk.

I couldn't help myself and cut a piece from one of the bars. I love the way the goat milk soap makes my skin feel. What a delightful ingredient!
