First Calf of '08

My favorite cow was the first to have her calf this year. These are Dexters, a small breed. The mother is 40" tall and 600# while the little bull calf is 18" tall and about 43#. These little calves are too much fun!

How sweet! I saw a new mom w/ a calf yesterday & just pulled off to the side of the road & watched them for a bit. They made me late to an appointment but I didn't care :wink: .

How precious that is. It never ceases to amaze me how they can be in the belly one minute and standing up looking like they've been here forever, a few minutes later. Nature is so beautiful. Congratulations.
