So I've got two more batches of soap recipes to try, but I'm trying to come up with one on my own after doing a lot of research. To those of you more experienced people, what do you think?

15 oz palm oil
10 oz olive oil
12.5 oz shea butter
5 oz sweet almond oil
10 oz coconut oil
5 oz castor oil

Thanks in advance!

I think your recipe looks fine. With that amount of palm and shea butter, it might trace very quickly, so have your molds, scents and colors ready to go.

However, that's a pretty big batch for a new recipe. If you scale weighs in grams, you are safe to do a 1 or 2 lb batch. That would be my choice, especially since you are using shea, which is a pricey oil.

Thanks dixiedragon! I will definitely keep that in mind. And when I made it I apparently wasn't thinking, so the plan is to probably scale it down to make a quarter that much... just in case. :)
