empty bottles?

As a soaper, I go through a lot of bottles of essential oils. The empty bottle still smells good. If I leave it in a drawer or closet, will it "evaporate"? Or should I fill it with water?

I rinse out all my essential oil bottles with a small amount of distilled water and deposit that rinsing in a clean E.O. botttle with some grapefruit seed extract. When I get enough in the bottle to make a spray I put it in a spray bottle with some witch hazel and glycerine. It makes a complex E.O. blend that smells wonderful!

I do mine as Soapmaker. But I put it in the bathroom for spraying in the toilet and a few puffs around when he is done with his morning sit down.

I wash out the empty bottles well, rinse out with alcohol, and use them to store the EO blends that I make.

Yes, I do that too after I save the first rinse with distilled water and save it in my collection bottle.

I fill them up with BS and a bit of water just to make it wet , leave for few days so the bs absorbs scent, then I wash it very well dry and use for making blends
