Hello there, I have a customer who commissioned me to make her a custom remembrance soap for her brother who passed of COVID-19. She wants me to add the dried blue and white peony petals from his peony bushes to the top of the soap. I have read somewhere that you can add the dried petals with 90% isopropyl alcohol after the bars have cured 4-6 weeks, and another soapmaker told me this as well. My concern is twofold: 1) the petals falling off the soap, but most importantly 2) the soap and petals turning brown.
Please advise, thank you!

Most likely both will happen.

I'm not sure how dried petals do in mp, but you may consider trying to do that. If your customer is thinking to keep the soaps rather than using them, MP may be a longer lasting option.
