Does anyone here use Soapmaker 3 for their business? Preferable on a weekly basis.
I do use it for my (very small) business. At the moment, I'm not using it as my season is over but during the market season, I was using it weekly, both for planning soaps and inventory control.
I do - for soap recipes of all types and I use it for non-soap recipes for salves, for gift boxes of products, all kinds of stuff. Love it - best money investment I made for business
I do, too.
<<<This girl right here. (Ignore the guy in the tie, he just wants to drink beer and weld stuff ) I don't use it for sales, but I use it for supplies inventory, recipe planning, keeping track of recipe costs and tracking cure times. I use it for soap and nonsoapy stuffs.
Does the "create recipes" part of Soapmaker 3 compare to SoapCalc or Soapmakers Friend, or other calculators? Or do you still need to use a soap calculator?
I've been using SM3 for just over a year for inputting my recipes. Even now, any time I input a recipe, I check it against SoapCalc. Or, I'll create my SoapCalc recipe and input it into SM3. I don't necessarily "need" to use another soap calculator but the way they have the lye/water section set up confused me at the beginning because I'm so used to SoapCalc. I'd never encountered the terminology used in SM3.
You do want your recipes in SM3 because, from there, you "make" your batches, which is how you keep track of what you've made/sold.
Thank-you. I am so new to this, but I do want to be able to sell my soaps and had not heard of SM3 until this post. So I will check it out.
