On a roll with the pull throughs! Naming this one “Dirt Roots”. Colored with purple, yellow, and red Brazilian clay, indigo, and activated charcoal. Scented with EO of cedar, fir, frankincense, and rosemary. These made me smile so hard! Continuing to streamline my system to reduce waste.

Wow, you are getting super consistent patterns in each one of your bars - great job! Are you using a funnel, or squeeze bottles?
Squeeze bottles with cut/attached pipette ends.

I need more of these bags from amazon packaging. They’ve been working perfectly! Now I’m all out and have to find something else.

Well, just order more soaping supplies from Amazon, silly. ;)

Seriously, I've seen people use sandwich bags, icing piping bags, and plastic produce bags from the grocery store. I'm not sure about that last one because they tear and melt so easily.

@AliOop I’m going to try sand which bags tomorrow. I tried a produce bag and it was a bunch of excess material. I’d like to have a regular source of something I could buy. The bottles I line are 16 oz.

Check out piping bags; you can probably find a size that fits your bottles well.
Thanks. I didn’t know that was a thing.

I think those would be too thick/stiff, and not an ideal shape. The amazon padding air bags are shaped almost exactly like the bottle. If you can think of any other repurposed disposable bags, preferably kind of thin, please let me know. I’m trying to come up with something. 💖

ETA: I do see lots of YT soapers use them, probably as many as the shipping bags. Maybe see if you can purchase those from somewhere? I haven't purchased either of those items, so I have no idea how prices compare to sandwich bags. With piping bags, the nice thing is that if you ever decide to pipe your soaps, you would have the bags on hand. Although somehow I don't see you doing lots of foo-foo piped flowers on your soaps -doesn't seem like your style. :)

I’d love to find thin, disposable bags that fit 160z wide mouth squeeze bottles as closely as possible.

I’d like to try piping some time. I’ve got an ancient piping set for frosting that I was thinking of repurposing since I don’t really eat much frosting these days.

What about shrink wrap bags, go to papermart, and look at the sizes. I wish this had been posted sooner, I just threw out several rows of these. I have some more reptile supplies coming and if they pack with these I will save them for you.

They have to be the “AIRplus”. And just barely cut the ends, pretty please. My friend just brought me some, all popped in the middle. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆

Shrink bags look like a possible option! Gonna try some things I have on hand first, but might try those. They should be pretty thin i think, similar to the packing pillows.

Since you are looking at purchasing something, can you find a place to buy the AIRplus bags that you like?
After looking at the shrink wrap bags last night, I realized I didn’t know the size of the airbags so I searched for them. Found them online, got the dimensions. The shrink wrap bags are much cheaper, if they work. If I can get the sandwich bags I currently have at home to work, that’d be great too!

Good grief, I wish we lived closer, I have tons of them because I sell stuff in glass bottles. Maybe try a gift shop or natural products store and see if they have any of the plastic packaging bags that they want to "upcycle".

Well, my new batch of “wide mouth” 16 oz squeeze bottles just came and they’re not nearly as wide a mouth as the ones I had.
However, I just did another pull through using a variety of bags, including a cut produce bag, and some ziplocks, and they worked ok. The new bottles are taller than the ones I’ve been using (and not as wide, sadly) so I ordered 100 shrink wrap bags that were 5x10”. Hopefully that works as well. I’m hoping to have enough gear soon to do a double batch!
Thanks so much for all your interest and assistance. This forum is the best! I’ll keep you posted on how it works if you want.
