Dilution…

So I need to dilute some soap paste for all my thanksgiving prep dishes and just realized that I used the last of my distilled water for a master batch of lye. Really don’t want to brave the store before work. Can I use filtered tap water? Should I use preservatives? I have germall plus, optiphen plus, Euxyl PE and biguanide 20. It will be used quickly at the kitchen sink. I’m lost! Lol

Tap water will make the LS cloudy/milky (soap scum), but it'll work.
No strong opinion on preservatives; if you're making a small amount/use it up quickly, you probably don't need to bother.

Can I use filtered tap water?

Yes. That's what I use even when I have distilled on hand.

Should I use preservatives?

Fully saponified soap requires no preservative any more than hard bars do. However, there are those who sell LS that feel it's necessary. You will be fine without it.
