Hello, I have recently begun making car vent air fresheners. I order the clips in bulk from a wholesaler and they have a little pocket where a scent pad goes. I have been using fragrance oil and jojoba oil 1:2 ratio dilution, soaking the scent pad and then inserting into the pocket- but still find that it corrodes the plastic clip even with the jojoba. It's not nearly as bad as without but still makes me nervous that the plastic is going to become deformed. I would up the jojoba content but then the scent would be compromised. Any idea on what to use to dilute the oil while maintaining scent OR maybe a clear corrosion resistant coating that I can apply to the clips?

I don't know a lot about this, but I wonder if rather than diluting with oil, if you were to dilute with perfumer's alcohol? My thinking was that it's a body spray for your car rather than a scented moisturizer...
