Determining full weight of a recipe

Sometimes I'll find recipes but it doesn't tell me how much it makes. I typically work with a 2.5 lb recipe. In order to determine how much recipes make, can I just add the water and oils together and that should give me the full weight of a recipe?

That will get you close, but if you really want an accurate number then don't forget the weight of lye, fragrance, and any other additives. Anything that goes into the soap pot, basically.

And if you use SoapCalc, it will tell you the weight before CP cure or HP cook.
