I work from home and we've finally decided to remodel our ancient, one car garage and turn it into a workshop space for me. Does anyone have experience doing something similar? I don't have elaborate equipment, but there seems to be a lot of it! I'll have access to water, so I can have a sink and a dishwasher. I use a couple of hotplates to melt oils. That said, my fragrance collection takes up a LOT of room, and I buy oils in bulk from Soaper's Choice. Finished soap also take up a lot of room, between cure and storage.

I'm just wondering the best way to arrange things to be efficient and use my limited space to best advantage. Does anyone have advice about things I should consider? I apologize if this has been discussed before - I searched on "workshop design"...are there other search terms I should try?

Ohhh, that’s exciting. There is a thread about workspace with pics that might be helpful to start, check it out Here.

Think about what you need to see, what should be at arms reach, and what you use a lot to get started. 😊
