Cutting embeds question

Soap peeps: This week I've been pouring my leftover batter into loaf molds -- just 1/4 to 1/2 inch high. I want to use as embeds -- squares and rectangles. Should I cut these slabs into smaller chunks at unmolding -- or cut them when I'm ready to use them? I've wrapped the slabs in plastic wrap. Thanks!

They'd probably be easier to cut now, than later. Then just store them in a zip lock bag or sealed plastic container.
I've been wanting to do a chunky confetti soap, but I've been too good at calculating the size of my soap batch (Well, I mean SM3 has been way too accurate, seeing as I do not Math!) and haven't had any left over...

I cut mine and keep them in ziploc bags as well
