I made a soap recently that didn't end up shaped the way I wanted, so I decided to use it for embeds in a new loaf. I cubed up some to put inside the loaf, then I used a veggie peeler to make some curls to go on top. It looks great! But now that I'm ready to cut it, I'm not sure how to go about it. I can cut straight bars, but I'm afraid I'm going to smash all those curls on top. Anyone have any tips for keeping them intact?

I agree, it also helps to prevent drag marks when the top is decorated with mica, etc.

Cutting through from the side worked great! No squashed curls! Thank you. :)
