Any idea why my salt soap is staying soft so long? Here is my recipe. I used individual cavity molds and did not put them on a heating pad. It’s been a day and a half and they’re still too soft to unmold without denting them.

Should have been ok. I don't understand why it went that colour either.
What level trace did you take it to?

What kind of salt did you use? I ask in case you happened to use Epsom salt or Dead Sea- those are notorious for causing soft, mushy (and very weepy) salt soap.

IrishLass :)

I've occasionally had salt soap stay soft and I don't know why. I just put them out of the way for a couple days.
Weirdly, I have the most trouble when using my thick oval BB cavity molds.

You're recipe looks fine as does the rest. Did you add fragrance? what kind of salt? I would just let them be and hopefully they harden up nicely for you. I've had it stay a bit soft once but otherwise they are generally hard sooner than later.
