Is it OK to cure soap on untreated wooden racks or do I need to line them

I would line them. No telling what chemicals are in that wood (unless you built it yourself from trees you cut down).

I agree with Susie - line them.

As well as chemicals in the wood, your soap will discolor the wood to black and depending on the wood grade/quality warp it.
