, I typically cook my soap in a crockpot on low heat for 30 to 40 minutes. this was a new pot immediately came to thick gel phase in 5-10 min, when I then transferred to a mold. itās been in the mold for about an hour and the zap test is still āzappingā 
ā¦ will the zapping go away eventually..as it sits in cooks a bit more or should it have been cooked longer? I usually donāt remove until, it passes the zap test-however I was attempting to get more creative so removed it while it had a bit of fluidity.

So, as long as you measured your lye and oils correctly, the soap will finish saponifying on its own. You can mold it at any time between emulsion (no cooking at all) and post-cook zap-free.
