So I had read somewhere that someone used 100% cranberry juice to color their "Pink Grapefruit" soap. So, I tried it last night ... however, it started to turn my soap a blue/green! My recipe included grapefruit EO and sweet orange EO. I also, added wheatgerm oil and grapeseed oil to superfat.

Any try the juice to color with before? What should I have done differently?

Thanks!

I would imagine that there is nothing you can do about it...I just guessing mind you, but cranberries are acidic and I think it probably reacted like a ph meter in your soap.

Hopefully someone with a little more chemistry knowledge will give you a better answer.

Yep, red wine does the same thing, did the final soap turn a caramelly brown? It's the acid.
