i have looked around and haven't found too much info on it but i am stuborn and wanted to try it anyways, so this is what i did

i made my regular mix of oils and lye with a recipe i know, then added at very thin trace, .5 oz castor oil and 1/8 oz lavender and 2 tsp oatmeal.
i mixed it with my stick blender then seperated 1/2 for my color
i mixed the color and poured my color ITP and then poured it into my mold. i put it in the oven at just under 200 degrees for 1 hour.

this is where i get confused. after the hour in the oven i have read that i can
1-put it in the fridge to cool
2-leave it in the oven all night to cool

the thing is, i havent found any info on what happens by cooling in the fridge or the oven. is there any difference in end result? am i doing it right?
thanks!

I leave it on the oven top. After you pull it out, spritz with alcohol to prevent ash. It's usually ready to cut in the morning. I don't think it would matter either way. It's probably just personal preference like a lot of things in soap making.

thanks
what do i do if i dont have any alcohol? i thought i did but i guess not.
also, do i leave it covered?

I'd leave it covered. If you don't have any alcohol, I wouldn't worry about it.
