I am getting ready to move on to the big girl molds- those that make a batch of ~12 bars (4oz or so). What I have now makes 6. They are silica CP molds. I like them & they've done great but hard to make those beautiful swirls you all are so good at making.

Any particular mold you guys couldn't live without?

I love my silicone loaf molds from Woodfields. They are not cheap but the quality is awesome and they have never let me down. Soap comes out super easy and they are easy to clean and always retain their shape. I know that there are other silicone loaf molds out there, but these are the only ones that I have and use. They come in several different lengths.

Okay, I think you mean a slab mold? With a silicone liner?

Or do you mean a log mold you can make tall tops on?

If so, I seriously wish I had the money for this. It is a gem! And is no longer a working business, but if you sell, it is worth it.

Then there is this place, but I think you need your own wooden mold first.:

Think you need to tell us more about what you are looking for, because I could post pages of links.

Here are BB's unlined with silicone, but have bar dividers:

Thanks for the inputs! Melz- I really have no particular preference- but looking to make swirls of colors like Zum Bars make. I've tried in the pot swirls but they are just "ho-hum." Smooth sides and cutting square is important to me for sure. A smooth top for the loaf bars though, I don't mind and work to an advantage. Silicone molds work fine for swirls?
