Hi all,

I'm in Georgia and it's cotton harvest time. I'm new to soapmaking, and constantly looking at soap projects. I thought about using cotton seeds in soap, but can't find anything on the internet regarding it. I only see cottonseed OIL info. Anyone with experience using these seeds?

I honestly do not remember how large the cotton seeds are, since it has been many years since I played with fresh cotton, but I personally find all seeds to scratchy and so did my customers so I went to just oatmeal for scrub a few years ago. I do make a pumice soap but they expect that to be very scrubby

I remember that cotton seeds are very small, but the shape? People use poppy seeds because they are spherical and so not too scratchy. It would depend on the hardness and scratchiness I think.

They are tiny, weigh about a tenth of a gram. Wikipedia is the oracle.
